The 11th Australasian Institute of Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis (AIEMCA) Conference will be hosted by the Department of Communication at the University of Macau from the 27th – 29th November 2018.


Conference Theme: Investigating Methods and Methodologies


The biennial AIEMCA conference provides a forum for scholars from a range of disciplines using ethnomethodology, conversation analysis, membership categorisation analysis or discursive psychology in studies of everyday and/or institutional talk-in-interaction.

The theme for the 2018 conference to be held at the University of Macau is on Investigating Methods and Methodologies.

We invite papers that highlight current work and research focusing on new directions and innovations on a range of topics and research areas.
